Everest base camp trek 15 days itinerary
The Everest base camp trek starts with a short 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,846 m/9,337 ft). The first night you will spend in Phakding village, located a couple hundred meters below Lukla. The following trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,290 ft), crossing the long Hillary Suspension Bridge.
The trail ascended along the Dudh Koshi river through dense rhododendron forest. The trail continues uphill to Deboche (3,820 m/12,533 ft) via Tengboche monastery (3,860 m/12,660 ft) and descends to the Imja Khola river. Trekking via Pangboche village, pass by terraces to Dingboche (4,410 m/14,470 ft).
From here, continue to Dughla and walk along the Khumbu Glacier moraine to Lobuche village (4,940 m/16,210 ft). Further, you will trek on rocky, steep tracks and ascend to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,598 ft) via Gorak Shep (5,164 m/16,942 ft).
The next morning, hike to Kala Patthar (5,545 m/18,192 ft) and follow a long downhill route to Pheriche (4,371 m/14,340 ft) for the night stay. From here, we will trek back to Namche Bazaar and retrace the same path to Lukla.
Lodge accommodation during the trek
The Everest base camp trail offers comfortable lodge accommodations. Our package cost covers (Medium range) basic but cozy and clean lodges during the trek. However, you can upgrade to a luxury lodge if your budget allows. The rooms are twin-shared, but you can also get a single room by paying a few extra bucks. Likewise, the washroom is common usually.
