Starting Point: Thulo Shyabru

This trek begins from Thulo Shyabru, which is a beautiful Tamang village. You need to drive from Kathmandu to Thulu Brakhu and walk for 1:30 hours. As you depart from the bustling capital, the journey takes you through winding roads often exposed to the scenic hills, terraced fields, and picturesque villages. Upon reaching Thulu Shyabru, you will find a serene atmosphere, with a glimpse into the daily lives of the Tamang communities. You will get to experence their culture, tradition and lifestyle.

Trekking Through Diverse Landscapes

From Thulu Shyabru, the trail gradually ascends through rhododendron, pine, and chestnut forest, presenting stunning views of the Langtang Himalayan ranges. This region is renowned for its unique flora and fauna, such as colourful rhododendron and red panda (Habre). As you reach higher, the air becomes thinner, but spectacular panoramic surrounding mountains, including Langtang Lirung and Ganesh Himal, make every step worthwhile.

These are our regular itinerary; if you would like to customise as per your time and budget, feel free to let us know. 

One of our company staff will receive you from the airport and transfer you to your hotel by private vehicle. Your hotel is located in Thamel, which is in the heart of Kathmandu city. In the evening we will collect you from the hotel and take you for a welcome dinner. During the dinner, we will brief you about the entire program, and then we will move forward accordingly.

Today is your preparation day. You will meet with your guide, who will brief you about the entire trip and check your gear to make sure you have enough equipment for the entire journey. If you don't have proper gear, then the guide will advise you to purchase enough. You can buy or rent from the trekking shop nearby the hotel.

We will take you on a short Kathmandu city tour. The tour guide will take you to Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, which is situated at a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will get an opportunity to engage with locals and witness Nepalese customs, culture, religion, and tradition during the tour. 

Depart from Kathmandu early in the morning by private jeep or bus. Enjoy scenic views of terraced fields and lush hills during the drive. While you arrive in Thulo Shyabru, you will check into a local guest house and rest. then, by the evening, you can explore the small village. 

Altitude: 1920m.

 

 

After breakfast, start your trek from Thulo Syabru. The trail climbs through lush forests and gradually ascends through the Langtang Valley. Reach Sing Gompa, a small settlement with a Buddhist monastery. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Evening: Rest and acclimatize. Dinner and overnight stay at a local guesthouse.

  • Begin the trek early to make the most of the day.
  • The trail ascends through forests and then opens up to alpine meadows.
  • Arrive at Gosaikunda Lake, which is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.
  • Explore the lake and its surroundings; visit the small temple.
  • Evening:
  • Dinner and overnight stay at a teahouse or guesthouse near the lake.
  • Enjoy the serene atmosphere and breathtaking views.

Altitude: 3800m.

  • Explore Gosaikunda and Return to Sing Gompa
  • Explore the area around Gosaikunda Lake.
  • Optionally, you can hike to nearby lakes such as Bhairab Kunda or Saraswati Kunda.
  • Begin your descent back to Sing Gompa.
  • Arrive in Sing Gompa and stay overnight at a guesthouse.
  • Reflect on your experience and enjoy a well-deserved meal.

Gosaikunda Altitude: 4380m.

  • Trek back to Dhunche 3 hours.
  • Take a private jeep or bus back to Kathmandu.
  • Arrive in Kathmandu by late afternoon or evening.
  • Check into your hotel and relax.
  • Optionally, enjoy a celebratory dinner in Kathmandu.

One of our office representatives will take you to the airport for your final departure as per your flight time.
